The Chariot. The Noble Steed.

The box on wheels...

Such a quest requires a heroic piece of engineering, a conqueror of deserts, a master of ground clearance and horse power to rival a cavalry.

"But Two and a Half Men, what car could possibly live up to such impossible standards?"

A Vauxhall Agila, obviously.

About The Rally

The Mongol Rally is the 'greatest motoring adventure on the planet'.

Cars from across the globe gather in London, UK and drive 10,000 miles to Ulan Ude in Russia. There are only 3 key rules to the rally:

  1. Get a rubbish car with an engine no bigger than 1 litre.

  2. £1000 must be raised for charity.

  3. There are no more rules.....

Charities

Cool earth is the charity that works with indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction.

Cool earth is the proud official charity partner of the Adventurists, the original creator of the Mongol Rally.

The adventurists have raised over £500,000 for charity thus far and 'Two and a Half Men' hope to add to this tally.

Why cool earth? Here's a quote which may help,

"We must save every rainforest in the world so future generations have somewhere to get stuck".

- The Adventurists

INSPIRE, ENABLE, SUPPORT

Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded in 2007 to provide direct, practical support for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen, women and veterans (‘the Blokes’) and their loved ones.

In the 12 months leading up to March 2015 H4H helped over 4,000 Veterans and military personnel - and their families - through our network of Recovery Centres.

It is estimated that, of the 220,560 individuals deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq between 2001 and 2014, up to 75,000 servicemen and women (and their families) may need support from H4H in the future.

We will not let them fight these battles alone.

Two very worthwhile causes, two very good reasons to splurge some cash.

As the main charity for the rally, Cool Earth focuses on rainforest preservaion, and our chosen charity Help For Heroes is a fantastic cause close to our hearts.

So we sort of have to do this, but a shameless plug for our fellow University of Bath comrades.

I give to you, Team Thunderbirds, our bang average companions.
